i’m sorry to hear you didn’t lose any weight with this particular diet. I have to be a little in your face here and ask whether it ever occurred for you that you need to eat less if you wish to lose weight? You say you tried lots of diets but they just about all failed, including Nutrisystem. You have to realize that in order to lose weight you need to eat less and you’ve got to train yourself to get used to smaller meals. Detest to say it, nevertheless its just plain common sense, whenever you think about it.

  28. Paula Howard says:

You didn’t point out anything about your way of life, but maybe you should also consider exercising if you really can’t do with smaller meals. That way you will at least burn off much more calories and drop a few pounds.

  29. Irene Holmes says:

If you really want to loose fat, it’s all down to calories in, calories away. Smaller portions, lots of physical exercise – a complete alter of lifestyle. Nutrasystem simply figures for people who consume enormous portions and not exercise.

  30. Kenneth Bell says:

Well, at first We wasn’t convinced it was doing me any good cause in the first week i only misplaced 2lbs and I was sensation hungry a lot. I’d of quit however for having a freeszer full of the stuff and my friends were you know helping me real well. So I kept at it and was really amazed I lost 4lbd the second week.

  31. Matthew Turner says:

Oh yeah, your evaluation is very well written. It is the most honest evaluation I have read so far and wish I found this last year before We went on the diet cause it would’ve helped me a great deal, I think. You really increase some great points here, thanks for the post.

  32. Janice Harris says:

However, In my opinion “misfortune” is the operative term here, for it appears the vast majority of readers which have written in have given positive reports out of this product. I must glean from this that, because the author has mentioned, this must be an isolated case and it is correct that a bad batch associated with meals can affect any company including the large or small grocery stores or indeed any food outlet such as restaurants. Even the fast food giant with the “golden arches” brand name has had its great amount of complaints equalized at them for selling sub-par meals and food that was contaminated.

  33. Mark Morales says:

You know, its a sad thing to say but obesity really is a major problem of this generation. I read a recent report that states that there were something like 6.5 billion obese people living in the world back in 2006. The medical expert undertaking the study says that over 155 million kids in the world are also obese.

  34. Christine Cruz says:

The author’s review is well written and I need to say the most truthful and informative I’ve read to date. We enjoyed it. Kudos to you. Simon

  35. Lawrence Bennett says:

Anyways, that’s all I really want to say and never to sound like a grumpy guy complaining and such, cause like I said, the diet labored for me all the same. Therefore come on Nutrisystem, I know you can do it, so make with the quality stuff in all your meals and you’ll beat out any competitors without a doubt!

  36. Martin Butler says:

I’d tell anyone to give this a try and get them to read your stuff here first cause if it helped me, it sure should help others too!

  37. Kathleen Cox says:

I did that after I finished Nutrisystem almost a year ago and I am still teh same weight today as I was when I finished my one month plan. I lost 21lbs on that diet and after it finished, I took a friend’s suggestion that I constantly tell myself how great I look being so much slimmer and how happy and grateful I am to look so wonderful.

  38. Brian Smith says:

However i lost 18lb in a 30 days on this diet as well as I’ve never done so well at anything before. I learned to consume less and I nevertheless do. Consequently I never put any weight back upon after the diet cause I was careful what I ate and I took a friends advice and started swimming four days a week.

  39. Phillip Wilson says:

the short answer there is you have to ask yourself how much do you want to lose weight? Eating out is ok if you want, but expect restaurant food to add calories and negate some of the good work you are doing on the NS diet. If you really must eat out, choose obviously low calorie menu items such as salads but watch out for dressings — they are loaded with calories. Meals with vegetables are better but watch out for sauces — again loaded with calories. Use your common sense and you’ll be okay. You could even be proactive and ask the waiter what they recommend as the best menu items for dieters!

  40. Ruth Reynolds says:

I’m beginning to wonder what is tougher, doing a month of NS or reading through this post and all the review comments lol! 21 pounds in two months is great going, congrats! Cycling is great exercise but for anyone thinking about taking it up, remember to start slow and build up the distance you cycle. If you try to do too much too early you’ll have aching legs and some saddle soreness to deal with!

  41. Sara Johnson says:

Hello, I just read through this monster with all the comments etc and it required awhile, but after it, I can truthfully say it was well worth the time spent reading it! What a excellent resource of information about this diet – I’m floored through so much on both attributes, good and bad!

  42. Sara Rodriguez says:

Excellent read, I just passed this particular onto a colleague who was doing some study on Nutrisystem as an option to lose weight. There are several different companies that provide a comparable service by providing diet meals to your house and so far, this one seems to be the best on features although it does cost a little more than some. I guess you get that which you pay for and when you are looking at food, you can’t truly take any chances.

  43. Laura Taylor says:

a former partner of mine also suffered with hypothyroidism (under-active thyroid) and had similar problems with weight. Part of the solution according to her doctor was constant tampering with the dosage of thyroxine (medication) which I’m sure cause more problems than it solved because if the dosage was altered and was slightly too high, she would become more much more active, sleep a lot less then be tired because of the lack of sleep. Too low and she was tired all the time and lethargic and it was at those times she gained weight pretty easily. It took a lot of tinkering but eventually the doctor settled on “as close as he could get” with the dosage, which was not perfect but at least reduced the symptoms of lethargy and tiredness and her weight stabilized.

  44. Anne Turner says:

  45. Randy Burns says:

I found it somewhat alarming that you wrote, “Fresh green vegetable will not add calories” in your review. Do you really believe that vegetables don’t have calories? Really? All vegetables have calories! Even that fabled “negative calorie” celery has calories (so no, we don’t burn it off by digesting it, sorry). I think that it’s a bit misleading to give advice that is based on a blatantly false idea. Guess what? You could gain weight if you ate nothing BUT vegetables if you ate too many of them (might by hard to do, but possible!). Too much of any food can cause weight gain. This is even more possible with higher-calorie veggies like potatoes, and if people add butter, oil or margarine to their veggies.

  46. Jeremy Reynolds says:

I just started the program and am wondering if you or anyone else had trouble restraining from ripping them all open and nibbling? Not because of the portions but out of curiosity of the taste and not being able to wait 28 days to taste them? It sounds kinda funny but it’s true. I can only resist so long. lol.

  47. Evelyn Lopez says:

I don’t buy it. I tried NS for a month late last year and even my unprofessional pallet knew the food was not connoisseur rated, but it wasn’t so bad either. It had been a diet that I misplaced a total of just 8 pounds in that month. But was I complaining to anyone who would listen and asking for my personal money back?

  48. Frances Martinez says:

So why does a chef need NS to lose weight? Doesn’t make sense. And what’s with all the uppercase typing-shouting? Do you consider that will make us consider more notice of the complaining and whimpering? No to that as well!
